Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage that Home Window Funding uses, and what each one is for.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use your browser’s local storage in the same way. We use them to remember how you found us so that any enquiry you submit is correctly attributed, and to keep the site working smoothly.
Cookies we set
When you land on the site we set first-party wml_* cookies that record marketing attribution — the UTM campaign values and advertising click identifiers from the web address you arrived on. These are read only when you submit the eligibility form, so we know which campaign your enquiry came from. They are set on our own domain and are not shared with third-party advertisers.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content |
Store the marketing campaign values from the web address you arrived on, for attribution. | 90 days |
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and similar |
Store advertising click identifiers passed by ad platforms, so enquiries are matched to the right ad. | 90 days |
wml_landing_url |
Records the first page you landed on, submitted with your enquiry. | 90 days |
We also mirror these values in your browser’s local storage so attribution survives you navigating around the site or returning later. Storing this data is best-effort — if your browser blocks cookies or storage, the site still works.
Analytics and tag manager
We do not currently load a tag manager or analytics cookies. If we enable Google Tag Manager in future, it may set additional cookies (for example Google Analytics _ga cookies) to measure how the site is used. We will update this table before any such cookies go live, and where required we will ask for your consent first.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings at any time; most browsers also let you refuse them. Blocking the wml_* cookies will not stop you using the site or submitting an enquiry — it only means we may be unable to attribute your enquiry to a marketing campaign.
