This policy explains what personal data Home Window Funding collects when you use our eligibility form, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

Home Window Funding is an independent information and enquiry service that helps homeowners understand how window funding works and check what they may be eligible for. For the personal data described here, we are the data controller. We are not a government body and we do not provide grants or free windows.

What we collect

When you complete our eligibility form we collect the details you give us:

• your first and last name;
• your email address;
• your telephone number;
• your postcode; and
• whether you own your home.

We also automatically collect marketing attribution and technical information so we know how our service is found and can keep it secure. This includes:

• the campaign source and marketing parameters in the web address you arrived from (for example UTM values);
• advertising click identifiers passed by ad platforms (for example values such as gclid or fbclid), stored in first-party cookies;
• the page you first landed on and your browser’s user-agent string; and
• your IP address.

How we use your information

We use your details to respond to the enquiry you have made about window funding. In particular:

• We will contact you by telephone, directly related to the application you have made, to discuss your enquiry and your funding and contribution options.
• We may also contact you by email or text about the same enquiry.
• We use the marketing attribution above to understand which campaigns lead to enquiries and to prevent fraud and abuse.

There is no consent tickbox on our form by design. When you submit the form you agree that we may contact you about your enquiry in accordance with this policy; the notice next to the submit button makes this clear.

Who we share it with

We may pass qualified enquiries to a matched installer who can carry out a home survey and provide a quote. That installer will use your details to contact you about your enquiry and becomes responsible for the personal data it holds. We also use trusted service providers (for example hosting and communications suppliers) who process data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell your personal data.

Legal basis

We rely on our legitimate interests (and yours) in responding to the enquiry you have chosen to make, and on your explicit request when you submit the form. Where required, we rely on consent for non-essential cookies, which you can control in your browser.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above — typically up to 24 months from your last contact with us — after which it is securely deleted, unless we are required to keep it longer to meet a legal or regulatory obligation.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw consent for marketing and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
